Somm-AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website aisomm.io (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.
Somm-AI is a free tool. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the Service. The only information we process is what you voluntarily submit when using the wine list analysis feature.
Wine list URLs. When you submit a restaurant wine list URL for analysis, we receive and process that URL. This URL is passed to our analysis pipeline to retrieve and rank wines from the list. We do not store wine list URLs after the analysis is complete.
Preferences. Your wine type selection (red, white, sparkling, or rosé) and budget preference are submitted with each analysis request. These are used solely to filter and rank results for that session and are not stored persistently.
Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymised data about how visitors use the Service. This includes page views, referral sources, and general device/browser information. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service.
Session identifiers. A random session ID is generated and stored in your browser's sessionStorage for the duration of your visit. This ID is used to associate your analysis request with its response. It is deleted when you close the browser tab and is never transmitted to third parties.
Log data. Like most web services, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server log data including IP addresses, request timestamps, and HTTP response codes. This data is retained according to Vercel's own retention policies and is used for security and operational purposes.

Somm-AI does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Vercel Analytics may set cookies or use browser storage for aggregate analytics purposes. No personally identifiable data is stored in cookies.
Standard browser cookies may be set by your browser as a normal part of HTTP communication with our servers. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
We do not persistently store wine list URLs, analysis results, or session data on our servers. Each analysis request is processed in real time and discarded once the response is returned to your browser.
Anonymised aggregate analytics data may be retained for up to 12 months. Server log data is retained according to Vercel's standard retention policies (typically 30 days).

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Service, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
